Well everybody, it's good to email you all again. It's been a little longer than usual because they moved our p-day from Monday to Thursday so we could go to the temple as a zone. I wish I could say it was a new and cool experience visiting the temple in a foreign country but I can't, after all, it's the same church and the same gospel, but that's not to say the temple isn't an incredible place. I love going to the temple and I wish we could go more often, but to be honest it eats up a lot of our p-day going all the way to the city to go to the temple, doing our thing there and coming all the way back.
The last couple weeks we've had some really good feeds from the members. This one sister fed us this really good dessert called sticky date pudding. It's more of a cake but it was one of the most delicious things I've ever had. Another Sister fed us some store bought twinkie-sized cakes called Lamingtons or Lemingtons or something. Those were delicious. I thought I had gained a lot of weight, but we were at a members house for dinner at a few nights ago, and in their bathroom was a weight scale. Seeing as how I haven't weighed myself since before the mission I stepped on, held my breath, and saw that I'm pretty much the same weight I've been hovering around for the last 3 years. So good news there.
Other than that things have been going pretty normal. We've done a lot of finding recently to see who wants to hear about the gospel, but not a whole lot of luck. We did find a couple investigators a couple weeks ago but they dropped us like a hot potato for reasons I still don't quite understand. We've been continuing to teach Shantell, the sister we baptized a couple weeks ago, and she's still got a really awesome testimony. Apparently one of our less actives has a little bit of a crush on her, which is hilarious to watch. Hopefully they get married in the temple one day haha but that's not really the missionary purpose. After baptism we kind of step back and let the ward start taking a bigger role in the investigators' lasting conversion.
Thanks for all your prayers! If anyone sees Max, tell him he needs to email me about his mission call, everyone seems to know about it but me. All I know is that he's going to Tokyo.
Love
Elder Cummings
