rollin rollin rollin RAWHIDE

This week was really fun but there were a lot of bummer days with stuff falling through so I don't know how long this email will be, but...here goes!
P-day was fun last week. There's an old french couple the Ubedas that had us do some service for them in the morning and we had breakfast with them as well. Just eggs and toast and sausages but it was delicious. Brother Ubeda is always calling us to help him on his computer because he's writing a book about Muslims and is always accidentally deleting it or putting it somewhere on his computer where he can't find it. He's one of my favorite members in this area though because he's so funny. And he's got an awesome beard. Next couple days we had district meeting, visited a couple investigators. The members are really good about feeding us here so that's been great.
We went to see one investigator on Wednesday named Mike. Mike is the kind of guy where there is no space in the time he thinks of something and when he says it. He just goes on and on and on and you don't even know what he's talking about but he keeps talking anyways. So we were driving to his house and we saw him on another street so we stopped to get out and talk to him. Apparently he had just been helping out a friend with their car and as soon as we walked up from the car he was just about to leave, so he's just like "great, you guys are here, are you heading to my place? Awesome, let's go" and without even asking he goes to get in our car so we had to tell him we weren't allowed to drive people around so we walked with him back to his house. It was just a funny situation.
That night we had a stake correlation meeting. A couple of senior missionaries came and they were ripping on my shoes because they're pretty worn. I made a mistake in not wearing my nice church meeting shoes. It was funny though.
Friday Mike asked us to go with him to his ex-wifes place to get some furniture to take back to his house and while we were there we talked with his ex-wife for a while and she became a new investigator! So many thanks to Mike. After lunch we went to go fill up the font for a sister in the ward who was getting rebaptized after being excommunicated for several years. The font takes forever to fill so we killed time by cleaning the chapel and watching Mormon messages. It was a really spiritual baptism and this sister is so solid now. Saturday night we had a ward activity for ward conference. It was a Mexican themed party and it was awesome. This ward knows how to do activities. Me and Elder Hymas bought sombreros and fake mustaches for the occasion. Plus I think it might have been only the second or third time I had had Mexican food on my mission. Just not a thing here. It was an awesome activity though. So that's pretty much our week. Sorry it's a long email!
